What's the itinerary?

The January cleanse will open on January 1st and run through January 15th.  This gives you a little play room when picking the dates that will work best for you. 

When you register, you will be enrolled in the holiday support program which runs through December 31st..  On

On December 15th you will receive your full cleanse package with everything you need to know to get ready and set yourself up for success. 

The online forum will also open on December 15th so you can chat with the rest of the group.

January 1st is the first day of the group cleanse!

What is a cleanse?
Cleansing means that you take some time away from the foods that weigh you down and load you up with toxins from preservatives, chemicals, sugars, and often unknown allergens, while committing to eating a clean, light, whole foods based diet while taking super awesome care of your body.

Is this one of those things with shakes and bars? Do I live on water and juice the whole time?
Heck no, we're having real food here.  Three meals a day plus snacks.

Will I have to cook my own food?
Yes, while the recipes will be simple, you should plan to spend some time in the kitchen planning and preparing your meals. The program includes a full meal plan, recipes, and shopping guide.  The cleanse guide offers suggestions and tips on how to help make the food preparation process go smoothly for you if you are not used to spending time in the kitchen.

(Taking the time to prepare your own food and taking charge of that part of your life is a big part of making healthy eating and living a lifetime skill, rather than something you resort to when you are desperate and have hit rock bottom.  )

Do I have to live in your area to participate?
No, anyone can do this from anywhere!

Um, will I be in the bathroom all of the time?
You shouldn't be.  You will probably be in the bathroom a little bit more often than usual,  but you should maintain complete control of body functions and be able to function normally throughout your day.

How long do I do this for?
You will have a choice of a 5 or  9 day plan, so you can pick.  If you are new to cleansing, I suggest a 5 day plan.  If you've done something like this before and want to ramp it up, you should try the 9 day!

You will also have instructions and meal planning provided for two pre-days and two post days, to help you ease out of your standard method of eating, and to slowly re-introduce some foods into your diet so that you can better learn about how your body responds to them.

What will I eat?
During the cleanse I will give you a full meal plan, complete with menus and easy to make affordable recipes for two days before your cleanse starts, each day of your cleanse, and two days after your cleanse. You can expect to eat three meals a day and have some snacks too! Your food choices will be heavy on the vegetables and whole grains, protein options, fresh fruit, lots of water, and tasty recipes that I created!

The spring and summer cleanse programs involves a fair amount of raw, sprouted, and fermented foods, where the fall and winter focus more on the seasonal aspect of roasted and slow cooked foods, with heavier proteins.

I'm pregnant/nursing/gluten intolerant/an athlete.  Should I do this?
If you are pregnant or nursing, sorry chica. Take care of that baby and come back later for a different cleanse group.  If you're looking for ways to stay healthy in other way, feel free to chat with me about ways to do that while on double duty.

Gluten intolerant: No problem.  The whole cleanse plan is gluten free.

Athlete: No problem.  There will be added "courses" for calories and protein if you're working out a lot, teaching fitness programs, or are an active team athlete.
